with Kathleen Kalinowski
Two day workshop: Friday, Oct. 18 & Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019
9 a.m. - 3 p.m. daily
This workshop will increase artists’ confidence in the art of composition for planning and designing your landscape painting when using photos. Students will start with identifying the concept and story, then design with proportion, line and values.
Learn what to edit out and what to change to make a compelling composition. Practice and learn how to simplify with a good work flow using a number of compositional design elements on a variety of subjects. Become more aware of how to use the Elements and Principles of Design and the importance of drawing.
Students will have designs worked out for future paintings, and will use one design in class to translate value for color in either oil or pastel.
Contact Pickle Street School Studio to register.
