with Barbara Schilling
Two day workshop: Wednesday, Sept. 4 & Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019
10 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily
This workshop is open to all levels of experience. While we will be doing some serious learning, it is my goal that you just have fun and feel comfortable to explore and experiment. I will be presenting my techniques for creating thick, bold impressionistic works, using both brush and palette knife. Learn to loosen up and create paintings filled with energy!
MATERIALS TO BRING:
Students will provide their own materials. A supply list will be sent out prior to the workshop. If you have worked in oils before, you will probably have most everything you will need.
Contact Pickle Street School Studio to register.
About the Artist
Barbara’s whole life has been surrounded with and involved in the arts. She has spent over 35 years in a successful career as an art conservator/restorer. Oil painting has always been her true passion, and she has studied both formally and informally, although she feels the best experience comes from time at the easel.
Barbara loves challenging herself with new techniques and processes — it is important to keeping oneself growing as an artist. She looks forward sharing what she’s learned with you!
