In this workshop students will learn the basic principles of drawing a portrait. Students will be drawing from a photograph of a person learning how to measure proportions, the structure and form of the human head. Scott will also discuss values, edges and facial features.

Scott will give a demonstration of proportions, values and facial features of a portrait.

MATERIALS TO BRING:

Students will provide their own materials. A supply list will be sent out prior to the workshop.

About the Artist

Scott Kenyon has been painting and drawing most of his life. He studied at The Cape School of Art, The Maryland Hall for Creative Arts, The Fine Art Academy in Northern CA, and the Chesapeake Fine Arts Studio in Stevensville MA.

Scott Teaches painting and drawing at The Forest Hills Fine Arts Center and is a new instructor at The Cape School of Art in Provincetown, Mass. Scott also teaches classes in the Grand Rapids area. In addition to teaching, Scott exhibits both locally and nationally.
