ABOUT THE ARTIST

Sharon Griffes Tarr is an outstanding and highly respected teacher who emphasizes painting with a defined idea, strong composition and value structure and a process that is personally familiar. In short, a procedure for painting that structures success but allows for creative freedom in the exploration of the subject during the painting process. Clean, luminous results for painting landscapes and still lifes are taught step-by-step, from beginning to end in her classes and workshops, with daily demonstrations and plenty of individual instruction.
